DOE Distributes Funding to Improve 37 Small Manufacturing Facilities

The department invests in energy efficiency additions to reduce annual carbon emissions by 17,000 tons.

The Department of Energy (DOE) has distributed $7 million to 37 small- and medium-sized manufacturers, funding the installation of energy efficiency improvements to curb around 17,000 tons of annual carbon emissions. Selected manufacturers will use the funding to upgrade to efficient air conditioners, heat recovery systems, improved lighting and ventilation, and alternative energy sources like solar panels for their facilities.

“The clean energy transition presents a world of new opportunities for the American workforce,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “The Biden-Harris Administration is training the next generation of workers to enable small-and-medium sized manufacturers to increase their energy efficiency all while lowering costs and reducing emissions.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for U.S. energy officials as they pursue policies related to climate change,
  • For Secretary Granholm to be led by God as she collaborates on the reduction of manufacturing emissions.
